# About City Favorites

Local favorites for the things you need, labelled with reasons you can check.

- Updated October 29, 2026

## A city magazine for the things you need done

City Favorites started from a question friends ask each other: “Who did yours?” We gather the answers, check them against public records, and publish the businesses locals actually recommend.

We don't rank businesses from 1 to 10. Each favorite gets one label that says what it's best for, with written criteria anyone can read. Every list shows when it was last checked.

## What we promise

- Labels can't be bought.
- Every paid placement is marked “Sponsored”.
- Every list shows when it was last checked and how.
- Factual errors are fixed within five working days.

Labels are editorial. Businesses can't buy a label or a better position. Sponsored placements are always marked.
